English bulldog
About the breed
English Bulldog is an older breed originating from the UK. Originally, the breed was used to hunt bulls and other large animals, hence the name. However, through the ages, the English bulldog of today is not the same as before. The breed's hunting instinct has largely disappeared, while it’s traits as a company dog and distinctive exterior has been preserved.
English Bulldog is one of the most popular breeds in the world, and for good reason. Despite the breed's somewhat harsh expression, English bulldog is a friendly breed. The breed is often described as very loyal, devoted and playful. They are usually very cuddly and like to be the party's centerpiece. As the English bulldog is not normally a watchdog a properly socialized dog does not bark.
At Kennel Shaka-Savoy, we are keen to breed healthy and mentally stable dogs with racial-like appearance. Our English Bulldogs are friendly and calm, but like to play and have fun. The dogs love to cuddle, often on the couch and they go well with other dog breeds and animals in general. All our dogs go swimming 2 days a week and are used in dog shows with good results. Our dogs are great for anyone who want a new best friend, for families and for both young and old.
We cooperate with breeders both nationally and internationally so that we can use the best dogs our breeding. We are a member of the Norwegian Kennel Club and the Norwegian Bulldog Club and follow the club's breeding guidelines. All our dogs are checked for health before they are used in breeding.
